Zafy began during the soul searching days of the pandemic and named for the love of Yesenia, the designer’s, dog. Zafy inspires tenderness and elegance—just what she felt she inspired to share with the world—and thus the brand was born.
Known as “vegetable ivory,” Tagua is a renewable seed harvested sustainably from South American palm trees— primarily the Phytelephas macrocarpa and Phytelephas aequatorialis — no trees are cut, no animals are harmed. Its smooth, lustrous texture rivals real ivory, offering a beautiful, elephant-friendly alternative. Each bead is hand-carved and dyed by fair-trade artisans, supporting rainforest communities and protecting wildlife.
