Art in Every Stitch: Meet The Endery, Our Newest Sustainable Obsession

If I’m being completely honest, there are days when being a merchant in the fashion world feels a little heavy. We all see the headlines: the massive mountains of discarded clothes in the Atacama Desert, the energy used to churn out trends that last two weeks, and the disconnect between the person who made the garment and the person wearing it. Sometimes, it feels like we’re trying to navigate a giant machine that just won't stop growing.

But here at Love Launch Clothing & Accessories, we believe that love is the ultimate antidote to that overwhelm. Love for the craft, love for the planet, and love for the people who spend their days turning raw materials into something beautiful. We don’t claim to be the heroes of the sustainability movement; we’re just one small boutique trying to do our part by holding space for artists who see a better way forward.

That’s why I am so incredibly excited to introduce you to our newest obsession: The Endery.

A Circular Love Story from Lima to You

The Endery is a sustainable fashion brand based in Lima, Peru, and they are doing things differently. When we talk about "art-to-wear," we aren’t just talking about clothes that look like they belong in a gallery. We’re talking about the art of the process.

Most fashion brands start with a sketch and then order miles of brand-new fabric or yarn to bring that sketch to life. The Endery flips that script entirely. They practice what they call "waste-led design." Instead of picking colors at a drawing table, they go into the warehouses in Peru and see what’s already there: the leftovers, the "deadstock," the yarn that other big companies over-ordered and were just going to throw away.

They take those leftovers: primarily high-quality Peruvian alpaca and Pima cotton: and treat them like a puzzle. Because they only have a limited amount of each color, every batch of sweaters they make is a unique, small-batch creation. It’s literal art, stitched together from pieces that the world almost forgot.

Why Deadstock is the New Gold

You might hear the word "leftovers" and think of food, but in the textile world, leftovers are often the highest-quality materials you can find. Peru is world-renowned for its alpaca wool. It’s soft, it’s durable, and it’s naturally biodegradable. But the production process often leaves behind cones of yarn that are "too small" for industrial machines.

The Endery sees those cones as gold. By using at least 60% deadstock materials in their collections, they save massive amounts of water and energy that would have been required to produce new fibers. More importantly, they keep those beautiful materials out of landfills.

When you slip on one of their sweaters, you aren’t just wearing a cozy layer; you’re wearing a solved mystery. You’re wearing a creative solution to a global waste problem. It fits perfectly into our art-to-wear philosophy, where we value the story behind the garment as much as the garment itself.

The Hands Behind the Stitches

One of the things we love most about bringing independent designers into the Love Launch family is the human connection. The Endery isn't just about the yarn; it’s about the hands that knit it.

Every single piece is handcrafted by Peruvian artisans who are paid fair wages. In a world of fast fashion, where speed is prioritized over safety and dignity, The Endery chooses to slow down. This isn't just "ethical production" as a buzzword; it’s a commitment to a community. By supporting these artisans, we’re helping to preserve traditional knitting techniques that have been passed down through generations in Peru.

It makes me think about our recent Spring Style Week. We talked a lot about how our clothes are an extension of our values. When you choose a brand like The Endery, you’re sending a message that you care about the person on the other end of the needle. It’s a way to wave a banner of love and respect for human labor in a world that often tries to make it invisible.

The Material Magic: Alpaca and Pima Cotton

If you haven’t felt Peruvian alpaca wool before, you are in for a treat. It’s often called "the fiber of the gods," and for good reason. It’s hypoallergenic, incredibly warm but breathable, and it doesn't have that "itch factor" that some sheep wools do.

The Endery also uses Pima cotton, which is soft, durable, and: believe it or not: compostable. These are natural fibers that respect the earth.

How to Style Your Art-to-Wear Knits

Because The Endery focuses on such vibrant, creative color-blocking (remember, they’re working with the "puzzle" of available yarn!), their pieces are true statement makers. Here are a few ways I’ve been styling them lately:

  • The "Relaxed Gallery" Look: Pair an oversized Endery sweater with relaxed black trousers and a chunky boot. It’s the perfect outfit for traveling or wandering through a weekend art market.

  • Layered Textures: Use their knits to add a pop of color over a simple white button-down. It keeps the look professional but shows off your artistic side.

  • Monochrome with a Twist: Choose one color from the sweater’s pattern and match your pants or skirt to it. It creates a cohesive, high-fashion look that still feels effortless.

We love seeing how these pieces transition from season to season. Since they are made from natural fibers, they breathe well enough for those chilly spring evenings but provide all the warmth you need when winter rolls back around.

Beyond the Purchase: Living the Circular Life

One of the coolest things about The Endery: and something that really inspired us: is their focus on education. Co-founder Ellen Saville is a huge advocate for "visible mending." They even offer resources on how to repair your knits if they ever get a snag or a hole.

This aligns so deeply with what we believe at Love Launch. We don't want you to buy things just to replace them next year. We want you to curate a collection of pieces you love so much you’d be willing to mend them. We want your wardrobe to be a living history of your travels, your experiences, and your values.

And The Endery collection at Love Launch is the perfect place to begin. Each sweater feels like a hug from a friend who really, really cares about the world.

Join Us in the Movement

We know that one sweater won't save the planet. But we also know that every choice we make is a vote for the kind of world we want to live in. By choosing independent designers, by opting for recycled and deadstock materials, and by supporting fair wages, we are collectively moving the needle toward a more loving, sustainable future.

Our repeat customers loved them, whether they shopped online with their measurements or came into the store to try them on. Every single one of them was happy with what they got, and it has brought a whole new wave of customers to the Love Launch family. We're excited about the product and how it is affecting our community. Overall, this is one to watch, and if people haven't tried it, this line is really one to take a second look at because it is absolutely fantastic.

We’d love for you to come by and feel these pieces in person. There's something about the weight and the softness of these pieces that might not translate through a screen. Keep an eye on our event page for our next Open Door Day, where you can come in and explore the new collection.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Every time you support Love Launch, you’re supporting designers like The Endery and artisans in Lima who are proving that fashion can be a force for good.

With love and gratitude,
